Six new two-family homes could soon be coming to an empty field off Mulford Road south of Newburg Road at 6002 Phaeton Drive.
Rockford City Council on Monday night unanimously approved a special use permit for the proposed development inside the Rosewood Subdivision of 12 residential units to move forward on Rockford's east side.
